Incorruptible

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.  And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an INCORRUPTIBLE. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1Corinthians 9:24-27 KJV)

In this scripture, Paul paints a picture of an athlete competing to win a race. When I think of any great athlete who has achieved “the Win”, I also can’t help but think of the strict training and exercise it took them to develop whatever the speed and stamina they needed  achieve it. To strengthen their muscles would involve strict diet, hard work and just pure discipline. A good athlete doesn’t just settle for “good enough, they are always working harder to improve, they expect better of themselves than they are. I’m inspired by their discipline. The goal of a Christian should be the same, training hard not just to avoid sin but to excel in righteousness. We must know our  purpose. And in order to excel we must be willing to be taught, corrected and super challenged in order to be transformed into a Winner.

But a Winner of what? Applause? Awards? Honor ? Power?

The crown is the symbol of victory or award of the highest honor or rank. It is also the symbol of royalty and authority. Paul states that all the athlete wins a corruptible prize. It will not last forever. The crown won by the victor in the ancient Olympian games were made of wild olive, that began to wither as soon as they were separated from the trees. Much like the crowns of the past, the crowns of today fade away just the same. Only today they are  made of fame, Popularity, Money, and Power. But the prize that we compete for is not one that will wither or fade away, it is everlasting, it is Incorruptible, the Incorruptible Crown.

So…I was shopping, and I had this great idea to do a quick survey at the grocery store, so I asked 10 random people 2 simple questions,

1. Do you know who Lady Gaga is?

2. Do you know who Corrie Ten Boom is?

10 out of 10 said YES to Lady Gaga and 10 out of 10 said No to Corrie Ten Boom .

A bit disappointed but glad that I had the privilege to share some history of one of my greatest inspirations with some folks!

But-Proof! Not everything that is counted, counts and not everything that counts, is counted.

Lady Gaga would appear to be winning the race, huh? She has almost 34 million followers on twitter, She’s won a total of 189 Awards and has been Nominated for 295, within 4 years. She has sold an estimated 23 million albums and 64 million singles worldwide. She has consecutively appeared on Billboard magazine’s Artists of the Year, ranked fourth in VH1′s list of 100 Greatest Women in Music, is regularly placed on lists composed by Forbes magazine and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine. Gaga wore a meat dress to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards which was supplemented by boots, a purse and a hat that were all fabricated from the flesh of a dead animal & Vogue.com UK named her one of the Best Dressed people of 2010. Sound successful? She may make history amongst men here and now, she’s wearing a crown, but as for right now….it  is Corruptible.

For those of you who may not know Corrie Ten Boom here is a brief history.Corrie ten Boom was born in 1892. She along with her father and other christian family members hid, fed, and helped many Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War II. It is estimated they saved the lives of 800 Jews, in addition to protecting many other underground workers. In 1944 her family was caught, arrested and taken to concentration camps, where Corrie’s father, brother, sister and nephew all died. Corrie survived much torture and suffering and was miraculously released due to a clerical error. After being released she went on to write 25 books and traveled to 60 countries as a public speaker, preacher and teacher of God’s Love and Forgiveness, bringing many to know the salvation of Jesus Christ. Corrie died in 1983 on her 91st birthday. She may have been forgotten amongst men here and now, but the crown she wears is Incorruptible.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:22-24

God has provided for and calls us all to be winners of this Incorruptible Crown. The winner must be successful in denying the passions and desires of the mind and body, and faithfully run the race to the finish. The winner of this crown will be successful in “crucifying the flesh”. This means sacrifice. God calls different people to different sacrifices in the way they will live their lives. While we are ALL called to live a life of Purity and Holiness some people may be called to rise above their circumstance of poverty, or some denying a culture that has embraced and taught them only of false Gods and religions, Some will have to deny pride and worldly expectations to fight for and flourish in humility and authentic love for God and people. Some people may be called to be a missionary in a poor country, sacrificing their comfort, possessions and life style. Some will be called to endure abuse and trauma, to overcome the desire for hate and revenge in order to discover the Power and healing in Forgiveness. Some may be called to a life of fame, and platform to demonstrate  True Worship, Some may be called to the challenges of physical disabilities, a few specific examples of these & major inspirations in my life are:

Nick Vulujicic, born without both arms and legs, has traveled to 44 countries sharing his story with millions, his message of hope, sharing his belief that God can use any willing heart to do his work and that God is big enough to overcome any and all disabilities. He swims, surfs, golfs and more. He is currently been seen on Oprah sharing the hope of Jesus Christ. Nick is married and expecting his 1st child. Go Nick! My dear and precious friend Jackie Yafanaro born with a bone disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which causes her bones not to grow and they break at a touch. She can break a bone by sneezing! And it’s just as painful as it is for anyone! When she was born the doctors predicted her lifespan to be 10 days, and she credits it’s God’s Grace that has allowed her to live 26 years! She is 33lbs and 24 inches. She paints beautiful art and inspires countless of people through her online blog, facebook and twitter. She too shares a message of hope and faith. She exudes the joy of the Lord and beautifully shares the love of God by using what she has the best she can! If you have been greatly inspired by these stories also check out: http://bethanyhamilton.com, http://www.joniandfriends.org,

It’s true that the race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong. Believe me when I say our race is not measured in distance, but in endurance. Jesus Himself said that all who endure to the end will be saved. It’s not a competition against one another, but one against your mind and body. We must fight the good fight of faith and run whatever race that God has uniquely set out for us while being the best we can be for God. Be willing to make or endure whatever sacrifices there may be to successfully complete the mission that God has set out just for YOU. Why spend your time Striving when you can be Thriving?!

With all of the distractions the world is throwing our way, it can become difficult to stay productive and fruitful. We must be disciplined. Discipline resists distraction. A champion athlete is focused on the race. His eyes are fixed on the finish. He’s not distracted by noises or activities going on around them. He’s not looking around aiming to please the people or crowd, he’s focused on the task. If he get’s distracted, he does not run well. They are also doers, not just dreamers! The greatest intention in the world without action is worthless. Paul said that he ran for something that is certain. When he was in the boxing ring, he fought and made the blows count. He did not beat the air. Disciplined people don’t only know What they are doing but they understand WHY they are doing it, there is PURPOSE. Our Purpose is to bring God Glory and hear Well Done. And when the going gets tough, we remind ourselves the importance of why we won’t give up and we have the greatest example to look to, Jesus/Yeshua.

Picture His footprints as He goes through Gethsemane, His will, totally surrendered to God.

A “crown of thorns” was put on His head to mock and to humiliate Him.

He carried His is own cross to an excrutiating death.

He paid the Ultimate price to make it possible for us to one day wear a crown, the “Incorruptible crown!”

“There was a time where I felt defeated and weary and I wanted to just give up, I wondered if I was even making a difference after tons of hard work. God commanded me to fix my eyes on Him and remember my purpose and passion. Now going Stronger than before, Fighting the good fight, I’m bearing my cross to follow and submit to the author and finisher of my Faith. This song slams me with encouragement to Finish my race and finish it well, hope it does for you too.

May you find joy in your race, knowing you’re a step ahead of where you were yesterday. Every day, every mile, every moment, every drop of sweat, every tear, every ounce of pain brings us closer to the true goal, to be conformed into the image and likeness of Jesus.

The Great goal is to Win the Incorruptible Crown…….So that one day we may have the honor to lay it down before the King. BAM!

Love,Beckah Shae

Romans 12:1-12

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, by fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy that set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

Lyrics

Keep on running to the end

And pick up the pace, ace.

Keep on running while you can

And win this race, first place.

Nothing can slow me down,

Cause I ain’t got no time to spare.

Nothing can stop me now,

And I’m breathing like I’m already there.

Incorruptible, for this life I live.

Incorruptible, I’m only in it to win it.

Incorruptible, for this life I live.

Incorruptible, told you I’m in it to win it.

Keep on fighting, take your blows

Like it ain’t over yet.

Keep on fighting, cause you know

The more you give you get.

Nothing can slow me down,

Cause I ain’t got no time to spare.

Nothing can stop me now

And I’m breathing like I’m already there.

Incorruptible, for this life I live.

Incorruptible, I’m only in it to win it.

Incorruptible, for this life I live

Incorruptible, told you I’m in it to win it.

I ain’t beating the air I’m winning something.

I ain’t going nowhere unless you’re there.

Got my eye on the crown and I’m focused.

Determined to make you proud as I finish.

REST.

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

I discovered a “secret place” that has changed my life forever and made me the person I am today.

Let me tell you about this place. It is where I can breathe vulnerably and celebrate my dependence on God and His Word. It’s a place I can make known my heart, with its needs, thoughts and feelings, doubts and anxieties, sorrows and joys. It is a place of refuge from the chaos, storms and confusion of the world. It’s a place consumed by God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. It’s where I receive supernatural wisdom and knowledge. In this place I get visions and revelations to strengthen and equip me. Here, I am repentant and healed. It is where I find my greatest humility and strongest confidence. It’s where I make room to see God’s faithfulness displayed as I practice waiting on and trusting in His love. As I set my affections on Him, my soul becomes recharged, relaxed, refreshed and restored in the shadow of the Almighty. REST.

“He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1

“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalm 91:2.

There is a deep need in every one of us to be close to God. If you’re asking, “How do I find this secret place and REST there?”

Shift the focus of your effort from yourself, and direct it to God. Go before Him in adoration and make room for Him. Focus your attention on Him and increase your awareness of being in His presence. Stop. Wait. Expect. Be still. Listen. God has promised that as we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us and we will experience Him with us in ever increasing measures. He wants to reveal Himself to all who seek Him, desire Him, long for Him, crave, hunger and Trust in Him. We must Expect, Believe and have Faith that His Presence will give us Rest and then as we REST in his Presence we must Expect for Him to show us how to do all the rest! Resting in Him allows me to do all the rest with Him.

“God reveals Himself to those that earnest seek Him.” Deuteronomy 4:29

As we REST expectantly in God’s presence, He begins to draw our attention to His word. While most people base their theology on His word, it is really the experiences with Him and the revelation we receive through His Holy Spirit that makes it all come alive. And the more we encounter Him through His Word and His Word, through us, our faith arises and we become filled with the confidence and authority to do all we were called to do and be all we were made to be.

The Lord’s ultimate goal is to be intimate with us in an atmosphere of grace, mercy, truth and love. His Peace must become the soundtrack to the schedule of our life. If His Peace consumes and surrounds you, Whew! life becomes much smoother.

I’ve learned rest is a necessity. In order for me to keep pouring out, I must first position myself to be filled. With all that I have to do, I cannot afford not to rest. Even Jesus would get up very early in the morning and go to the wilderness alone to pray (Mark 1:35)! He needed quiet times with the Father. How many of us truly, purposefully put aside and prioritize this time with God consistently as we should and need? I believe if we order our days first, in God’s presence, we’ll watch our hearts desires be fulfilled. The most important thing we can do as a Christian is rest in His presence. With Him we can let every question and concern fade away knowing that He’s in us, with us, for us and loves us. You see, I’ve learned that when I enjoy the Lord first, I find the grace and strength to complete my assignment and run the race without striving.

“The joy of the Lord is my strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.”   2 Corinthians 12:9

My first worship project entitled “REST.”  is releasing September 4th 2012.

This has been a dream of mine for over 7 years and I am extremely excited to get it into your listening ears & hearts! Every album I release reflects the season I’m walking and growing in. This one has definitely been one of Rest.
It is a very different sound from my other projects.
I would describe the sound as calm, serene, relaxing, ambient, tranquil, with a heartbeat. There is movement and stillness at the same time.
It is my desire that this project sets an atmosphere for your time of devotion and intimacy with the Lord. That intimate “you and Him” time, that “place” where you can wrestle, cry, wait, and listen. May He speak to you, comfort you, and strengthen you. May He take you away from the opinions of men and noise of this life to REST in His unchanging truth & everlasting peace that surpasses all understanding, where you can believe Him for all things. May He lead you beside the still waters to a place where there is no fear for tomorrow because you’re embraced with grace by the very one who holds it.

 Resting in His Love,

Beckah Shae

SCRIPTURE SNACKS?

Why? & What are Scripture Snacks?

Well…. There is nothing that satisfies my soul like God’s Word. Whether it’s being spoken or read or heard through song, we need it; we survive by it. Scripture Snacks are like that cool splash of water while running a marathon, or like an energy bar just before a work out, a juicy apple to hold you over as you finish your errands, or a warm hug just when you needed it most. It’s just a small snack portion of the word, but it’s alive and active and ready to feed your mind and heart in between meals.

God’s Word to our soul….. just like water & bread to our body, is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

-       Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”- Matthew 4:4

-       “I am the bread of life.” John 6:48

-       I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.  Job 23:12

-       In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Is Anyone Hungry?

How do you know when you’re hungry for food? Maybe your stomach starts growling, or you may get a headache, become grumpy or have this empty feeling… you just know you need to find something to eat.

How do you know if you are hungry for God? Maybe you feel restlessness or uneasy, or you may even feel a physical ache or a guilty feeling. Sometimes when I’m hungry for God, I feel lonely, discouraged or empty.

-O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1

-My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Psalm 84:2

-I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. Psalm 130:5

- My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:81

Inside all of us is a deep longing for God. This longing for God is as real as being hungry for food and thirsty for water. It can keep our spirits alive, just like being hungry can prompt us to eat and keep us alive. God put the God hunger there, so we would know we need Him, and trying to satisfy that hunger with anything else but Him will not only leave us empty, hungry and thirsty, but leave us vulnerable and in danger.

We read in Isaiah 55:2: “Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.”

Here’s the strangest question:

Why do so many people who are hungry for God, instead open the refrigerator?  Or when they are thirsty for God, they end up drinking alcohol? When they feel empty for God, instead of turning to God they go shopping, or put hope in friends & people to fill the emptiness? How about when we want time with God, and instead we do More & cram our schedules full?

…..We are like babies who cry because they need something, but don’t know how to ask for what they need. Filling up on what doesn’t satisfy is unhelpful and dangerous and many have nearly perished while trying to fill up on other things instead of God.

Here’s the Good News!

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” -Matthew 5:6

For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. -Psalm 107:9

The way your natural appetite works, you have to eat when you get hungry, so you eat until your full, but that doesn’t mean you will not get hungry ever again. And every time you are hungry you still have to eat.

It is a consistency throughout our life, it’s how we function, it’s how we survive, it’s how we grow.

While God is always satisfying us, He’s also continually increasing our hunger and thirst for more of Him. And the more you hunger and thirst for Him, the more He reveals Himself to you and the more He reveals himself to you, the more you will yearn for Him even more! My heart’s deepest longing and my soul’s greatest craving is to know more about Jesus and His word. There is simply nothing more satisfying as the knowledge of who God is.

 A Healthy Choice.

Just like any diet, what goes in, is what comes out. Most of the time you can judge a person’s diet by their strength and stature. If they are fit and healthy, chances are they eat well and excercise well. We all have the option to feed our hunger any way we choose, but what we feed it determines how we will live, long and strong. You can choose to eat pizza, drink sugar, eat junk food or fast food everyday because it’s quick, and convenient, it may give you a quick fill, a burst of temporary energy, and even a pleasure to the taste, but it will prove to be unhealthy in the long run, you will eventually grow weary, sluggish, and get sick.

As you determine to walk in Health, there are disciplines you must accept and commit to. You must personally desire, make a decision and commit in your heart to want what is good. You cannot know anything about the Word & its power to bless and sustain you untill you personally believe it, receive it & trust it into your innermost being. So it’s a Decision! A Choice! A Determination! & A Commitment!

What are you feeding your mind, your heart and your soul with on a daily basis? Because you can’t feed on death and expect life! The world, the flesh and the devil, can only offer death. There is NO life except in Jesus, God and His Word, and in the Holy Spirit.

Today, is a good day to focus on striving towards God. On earnestly seeking his righteousness. He is our Goal. Let’s not just say “I am interested in following Yeshua”, but rather let us take up the challenge of extreme discipleship and say, “For me to live is Christ”.  I hunger and thirst for God.

Here is a great “Scripture” diet & exercise plan:

-Hear (Proverbs 28:9; Luke 19:48)

You might need to sit, be quiet and be still.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

-Read (Deuteronomy 17:19; Revelation 1:3)

Just pick up the Word of God and read….

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12

-Study (Acts 17:11; Proverbs 2:1-5)

Studying is so important. It helps us get past the milk, and into the solid food.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

-Memorize (Deuteronomy 6:6-7; Psalm 37:31; Proverbs 7:1-3)

Store away His word like a treasure deep in your heart.

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

-Meditate (Psalm 119:15, 23, 48, 78, 148; Philippians 4:8). What is meditation? Without getting too technical, have you ever worried? Then you know how to meditate!

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Hope this encourages you and causes you to be hungry and thirsty! Go and Enjoy the Life giving food God has made available to all of us!

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3.

Please feel free to share your WORD diet & exercise plans! I’m sure there is someone who will appreciate and benefit from it! God Bless you!

With All my Love,

Beckah Shae

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous. Psalm 119:172

I wanted 2 D-scribe myself & personal journey to & through my new album Destiny. Enjoy.

Desperate:

Once Drowning in Difficulties, so Disturbed, Discouraged and  Distracted by Darkness, Divorce, Disobedience, Disgrace, Disaster, Denial, and Doubt.

( For Such A Time As This )

Sometimes the position I find myself in is not an easy one to say the least, and I wonder if I can do it. My King reminds me I am worthy and able, and that He is in me, with me and for me, for such a time as this. He stretched out His hand and called me to a life of faith and courage, and I said, yes.

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

( Are You Ready? )

I heard the Lord saying, “Does anybody hear me? Does anybody see?”  We are entering a great and terrible time. The eyes of the LORD search the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. Everything that can be shaken is being shaken and it’s an important time to remain seated with Him in the Heavenly Realms where His Kingdom will not be shaken. We must be desperate for Him, hungry and thirsty, willing to die to ourselves in order that we might live. Jesus is waking up his bride and saying, get ready for the greatest victory!

Luke 12:40 “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

( Gold )

What don’t kill you can only make you stronger! We will all at some point face the tough times, the trials, the tribulations, but what will be most important and remembered is how we respond and how we grow. Don’t give up, but Finish! In the end there will be a glory revealed.

Peter 1:7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”

Determined:

Discovering the Depth of Gods Love. He would Deny Himself by Dying to Defend me, so that I may find Deliverance and Know the fullness of L.I.F.E. under His Dominion.

( Just to Know )

This song sums up my life’s mission and purpose. To know God is my passion, my pleasure and my pursuit. I believe everything I encounter and endure in my lifetime is to lead me to a better knowledge of Him.

Phillipians 3:8 “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.”

( Supernova )

Nova (plural novae) means “new” in Latin, referring to a very bright new star shining in the celestial sphere; the prefix “super-” distinguishes the star increasing in brightness. Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entiregalaxy and at it’s brightest can even outshine the sun. Expanding shock waves from supernova explosions also trigger the formation of new stars. I imagined Jesus saying, “…anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works…” Jesus is the SON, the light of life, the Super Star. We shine, light up the night and put the darkness to shame when we back up our words with truth and action, which is the evidence of His righteousness in and through us.

Philippians 2:15 “…become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe…”

( #putyourloveglasseson )

To putyourloveglasseson is to put on the mind of Christ, to see as He sees. That includes things, circumstances, and most of all ourselves and others. When we choose to put our love glasses on, we step into a life of revelation and our faith becomes manifest. There are so many treasures to be found, and He has given us everything we need to find them! Keep truth seeking, listen to wisdom speaking, catch His heart beat, see the world through God’s eyes and abide.

1 Samuel 16:7 “…For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.”

( Show Me )

I want to stir up a curious people. Questions are what we need in order to begin a search for truth. We can’t be lazy with our eyes, ears and minds. We need to be aware of what we are doing so we can make the choice for ourselves whether it’s supporting life or death. If we don’t stand for something we will fall for anything. Do not conform to the patterns of this world but renew your minds by changing the way you think, so seek.

Job 28:28 “And he said to man, ‘The fear of the Lord–that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

Prov. 18:15 “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”

Driven:

Drawn to Define the Dawning of a new Day! Daring to be Different by Declaring  and Decreeing Truth and Victory.  Demanding faith to Determine its Due Season.

( We Are )

We are the generation preparing the way of the Lord, ushering in the Son of Man. God is raising up an army declaring the truth and knowledge of God to prepare His Bride for the great and terrible things that are about to come. Together by committing to prayer and fasting, staying consecrated, standing firm and devoting ourselves to each other we will see a love revolution!

Romans 12:9,10 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.”

( Music )

Music can change an atmosphere. With all of the offensive music that is being released to and tolerated by this generation I have become filled with a passion to be one who releases relevant sounds and lyrics that usher a people into God’s presence! We must be yielded to the Spirit of God so we can see a Paul and Silas experience, one that will set the prisoners free and turn the hearts of men back to Him.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.”

Destined:

To be Dressed in strength and Dignity to Display His Glory and Draw many others to come Dine and Dance with the King of Kings! To hear well Done, good and faithful servant.

( Destiny )

We all have a destination. We must stay fixed on our goal and prize. Eternity is real and begins now. The decisions we make today affect our tomorrow. If we can determine what we are living for,  there will be no fear in what we die for. My prize is to finally be forever in the arms, and face to face with my Bridegroom forever.

Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

( Hope )

To me, hope is a place called heaven, a place I consider my home. It is available to everyone who receives it through the everlasting love of the Father through His son Jesus Christ. He has placed a banner of love over all of His children and we must continue to lift it high for all the world to see! It’s because of His love that we have access to hope.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

( Holy )

It is told that the angel’s cry out day and night, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty! It’s simple, yet profound. We were created to sing this song.

Psalm 99:5 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

#putyourloveglasseson

Saul who became Paul was a determined persecutor of the early followers of Jesus. Job lay in the street, covered with boils. Zacchaeus was “vertically challenged.” Noah was a drunken farmer. Moses stuttered. Daniel was a captive slave. Simon was called The Leper. Abraham came from a family of idol worshipers, and was undoubtedly an idol worshiper himself. The chosen disciples were just simple fishermen & tax collectors. Joseph was a teenager who became a slave and a prisoner. Rahab was a prostitute. Gideon was nothing more than a farmer. David was just a young shepherd boy. Esther was a common jewish slave. The mother of Jesus was a young peasant girl. The son of God was born in a stable… The people and the stories go on and on and on.

So… What do you see? Who do you see?

NOW, I wonder how many people could see what incredible plans God had for these “unlikely” folks? To have been able to see where they had come from, where they would go and who they would become. These are worthy stories to spend a little time getting to know!

To putyourloveglasseson is to put on the Mind of Christ, to see as He sees. That includes things, circumstances, and most of all ourselves and others. We have to go higher in our understanding of His Love in order to carry out the fullness of His will for our lives. We must be determined to know Jesus and the depth of His love and His plans for us. We must be desperate to see ourselves the way He sees us!

This is interesting: The word Bartimeaus means “son of value.” Yet in Mark 10:48 we read that he was a blind beggar, with no value, begging for his bread. He was surrounded by a sea of hopelessness. I wonder how everyone “saw” him? But He cried out: “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me!” What did Jesus do? He gave him back value by giving him eyes to see because after that he no longer needed to beg. “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire… salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.” (Rev 3:18). Our hearts should long to SEE! When we choose to put our love glasses on, we step into a life of revelation! Our faith becomes manifest! Bartimeaus just stepped into what God had already spoken and had always spoken about his life: “Bartimeaus, you are a son of value”. He walked right into L.I.F.E. ( Love In Full Effect ).

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. – Matthew 6:33

Love…”bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” -1 Corinthians 13:7

Do you know who God calls you? Do you know what has God spoken over your life? If you discover the truth of who you are, and begin to see yourself through God’s eyes, you will also begin to see others how He sees. May God give us the grace to see things through His eyes so that we may have to courage to do His will. We have to see through God’s eyes and feel through God’s heart, to appreciate the value of every soul, including yourself. (Please see my Blog “Purity Testimony” for a list of scriptures that will help you with your vision!)

It is evident throughout History that God through His unfathomable love and unlimited grace chooses people with less than perfect standards to perform heroic deeds. God called people who by human standards were not wise, strong, or influential. Intelligence, charm, strength, wealth, wit, fame, power, are the things that make us put our faith in men. He chose the unworthy, under qualified, the broken and the weakest. God chose the humblest amongst his people and ignored the claims of the proud. I believe God sometimes deliberately chooses physical losers to accomplish His work so that when the job is done, there is no way they may touch His glory, that His amazing grace would be better understood. He doesn’t look for people who fit in or stand out, but for those who have faith and will stand up. He’s not interested in our ability but desires our availability! He’s looking for the willing and He is searching for the one quality we most often fail to see. The heart. “For God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16: 7

He teaches us that, facial features, height, weight, skin color, who they are, who they know, what they have, or don’t have, where they are from, what they can do… is not what matters, but what really matters is their heart’s desire to know and serve Him, to obtain a heart like His. A heart that is surrendered and aware of its need for His grace. He teaches us to put our love glasses on; to see as God sees and allow it to compel us to love as He loves. A love so great it causes us to speak blessings even upon our enemies.

I believe in God’s perfect timing many will be surprised when God dethrones some and raises up some and brings to the front lines the “unlikeliest” individuals who have a heart for God. They will advance the Kingdom and usher in a mighty move of God through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Lord’s heroes are arising from the dust of obscure and despised circumstances. Is it you? It’s me! We ALL have a story! May we be the ones to cry out like Bartimeaus or David and catch the wave of His Glory that we may not miss the opportunity to SEE and BE the one He’s looking for! My hand is raised & I’ve got my love glasses on!

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. – 2 Chronicles 16:9

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. – Psalm 17:8

But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame* the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things and the things that are not to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. -
I Corinthians 1:27-29

But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. – Psalm 33:18

The prophet Zechariah reminds us not to “despise the day of small things,” for they will be observed by “the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth”- Zechariah 4:10

We do well to remember always that one of the great names of God is “Thou God sees me” – Genesis 16:13

Our problems, our selfishness, our earthly vanities, our anxieties, our prejudices, our lack of trust…are all like a closed curtain on a window. Without vision we limit God in our lives, but what an awesome privilege the Lord has lavished on us to see people as He does! He is notorious for opening the eyes of the blind!

David cries…” Look on me and answer, O LORD my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death.” – Psalm
13:3

You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. -Isaiah 42:7

the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. -Psalm 146:8

And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them. And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” – Matthew 11:4-6

Truth is there will be situations and circumstances that will come that can only be overcome by having our love glasses on! We need God vision to see the Hope in these times. The people who seem most unlovable, can only be loved through you, by you wearing His love! We need to put our love glasses on! There are so many needs God is waiting for you to see, if you would just put your love glasses on! He needs our hearts to trust and our eyes to see, all we need is to put our love glasses on! We serve Him best by “loving” one another.

For I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”- Matthew 25:42-46

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. -1 John 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.- 1 Peter 4:8

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. -1 John 4:18

Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor. – Proverbs 22:9

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? -1 John 3:17

I see you lookin lookin like you wanna dance, Im watchin wonderin why you dont take the chance?

Go ahead and take His hand. What are you scared of man? What are you scared of? Man?

I know you got it in you, Now just let it out. Don’t miss the moment, this is what its all about.

Its everywhere,  look around, So many treasures to be found.

So we gotta , keep truth seeking, listen to wisdom speaking, catch his heartbeat and Abide Abide Abide

Keep truth seeking, listen to wisdom speaking, catch his heartbeat and see the world through Gods eyes!

Put, Put your, Put your love, Love, love

Put your, put your love, love

Put your love glasses on, Glasses on

Can you feel it, its in the air, Its how we choose to breathe. People treatin eachother either with honor or jealousy.

Rude rude, cutin others down cause they aint what you think you need.

Truth is we all need one another, Some are just too prideful to see.

God give us grace to see all things, To see mans’ heart the way You see

Gotta get get get that vision (love vision) vision oh

Love bears all things believes all things, Hopes in all things endures in all things

So we gotta get that vision!

Choose Forgiveness.

Hey Everyone! My new single “Forgiveness” has now been released and I just wanted to share a bit of what it means to me! Enjoy & be Blessed!

The word forgive means: to give up wanting to punish
The word freedom means: liberty
The word liberty means: freedom from slavery

Corrie Ten Boom, Chose Forgiveness.
As a Christian woman who survived a Nazi concentration camp during the Holocaust, she said, “Forgiveness is to set a prisoner free, and to realize the prisoner was you.”

Forgiveness is not an option if you want to know L.I.F.E. ( Love In Full Effect ). It’s necessary to unlock the freedom to love. It’s freedom lets us FLY! To forgive does not show that you are weak, but that through Christ you are Strong. “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” -2 Corinth 12:9

All of us at some point have been misused, mistreated, betrayed, or hurt and will at some point be confronted with the choice to forgive. No one, not even God can make you forgive someone. I have learned forgiveness is about obedience. It’s a choice you make to obey God. I believe with all my heart that God honors our commitment to obey Him and our desire to please him when we choose to forgive. We need to forgive those who hurt us and cancel their debt because God has forgiven us for the hurts we have caused him and has cancelled our debt. It is our way to truly thank Him and give back. I will never forget the price that was paid for my freedom, it gives me all the strength I need to forgive. I don’t remember my own sin, to obtain condemnation, but to embrace His mercy and grace even more!

Forgiveness is not about the person who wronged us, it’s really about us. If we choose not to forgive someone who failed to meet our expectations, we start to grow in anger and resentment and ultimately a very unhappy person void of peace. Forgiveness releases us from our own prison of bitterness. We need to learn to forgive as He forgave. Choosing Forgiveness changes the reason we desire that they should be brought to justice, and allows a transformation to take place in our heart. We pursue God’s justice for its own sake, not our own, for Gods Glory and not for our revenge.
Forgiveness happens when we choose that we will no longer expect those who hurt us to repay us. It doesn’t require an apology, remorse or even the wrongdoer to be aware of the fact that they hurt us. It’s not a feeling, it’s not forgetting, it’s not pretending you weren’t hurt, it’s not trusting the person again, it’s not even reconciliation. Forgiveness doesn’t require that relationships never change, but that we move past the hurt and refuse to dwell on it. When we forgive we’re saying that what a person did to us is not more important than going on with God. If you are hurting or angry, know this: you hold the key to the cell you are in. Forgiveness is that key. Forgiveness will unlock your prison and free you to be forgiven.

The choice to forgive is a gift to ourselves and others! The world is watching! Our choice to forgive is a powerful witness to our family, our friends, and our neighbors. Forgiveness reveals what Gods Love looks like. I believe God loves to redirect our lives and give us a new purpose or ministry based on what He shows us about Himself when we respond in trust and obedience through forgiving others. Everyone needs a demonstration of the grace of God and the power of Christ’s resurrection and it is our responsibility to show it! Our choices create our character, but they also allow God to use us to show His wisdom, power, and presence to others.

I know I have truly forgiven when the love of God can flow through me to the person who hurt me. I know I have truly forgiven when I am free from the pain, anger and hatred towards that person and I can experience God’s peace that surpasses all understanding. I know I have truly forgiven when I am consumed by the Joy of the Lord! I know I have truly forgiven when I find compassion and desire Gods mercy towards the person who wronged me.

God specializes in turning bad situations into trophies of His mercy and grace, and He wants us to experience His freedom through choosing to forgive. With Gods Love living inside of us, we can overcome evil with good. Through obedience and faith we can allow the “wrong” to be rewritten. Lets PUT OUR LOVE GLASSES ON and pray that God will continue to give us a broken, tender heart and let Him redeem the painful circumstances in our lives for His Glory.

I CHOOSE FORGIVENESS,
Beckah Shae

I have put together an example of a small prayer of forgiveness, I think it should be a constant in our lives. Please join me in choosing forgiveness…..

Dear Heavenly Father, I confess my sins ___________ and ask you to please forgive me. I accept and receive the precious gift of your son Jesus Christ who came to release me from the penalty of my sin by dying a brutal death on a cross so that I may know L.I.F.E. I believe I am now forgiven and that you remember my sins no more. I choose to forgive myself and to live and walk in freedom from guilt and shame. Today I choose to forgive those who have hurt me or offended me. I choose to Love like you. I choose to extend Mercy like yours. I choose to give Grace like yours. I trust you and believe you make All things work out for the Good for those who love you. I love you. Please take my brokenness and make me whole, take my sorrow and give me joy, take my pain and give me peace, take all my questions and give me wisdom. I’m ready to Fly in the Mighty name of Yeshua! Amen.

Here are some scriptures on Forgiveness:

He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends. -Proverbs 17: 9

For if you forgive people their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you. -Matthew 6: 14

But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you..
-Matthew 5:44

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. -Matthew 6:12

For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. -Matthew 7:12

Then Peter came up to Him and said, Lord, how many times may my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? up to seven times? Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven! –Matt. 18:21-22

So also My heavenly Father will deal with every one of you if you do not freely forgive your brother from your heart his offenses. -Matthew 18: 35

Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also . -Colossians 3: 13

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop, in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your failings and shortcomings and let them drop. -Mark 11:25

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. -Luke 6:35

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. -Luke 6:36

Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him. –Luke 17:3, 4

Do not say, “I’ll pay you back for this wrong!” Wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you. -Proverb 20:22

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they
persecuted the prophets who were before you. –Matthew 5:9-12

LYRICS to my New Single “Forgiveness”

Betrayed and let down, they gossip and slander
They sabotage You as they mock You, it’s just a mess!
But I refuse to amuse the lies
And whether or not they apologize
I’m movin on, I’m gonna let go
Cause I gotta fly
Laying down all that’s in the past, no bitterness
Putting aside all my pain and my pride, to be blessed
I’ve learned what we hold against someone else
Will only wind up hurting ourselves
We need love motivation
Forgiveness!
There’s healing in your wings
Your peace it let’s me breathe
Forgiveness!
You’re the reason why I live
I’m worth only what I give
Forgiveness

The damage is done, the scars still remain
But I gained wisdom and strength
So I declare the victory is won!
I refuse to amuse the pain
Won’t let it take my freedom away
I’m movin on, I’m gonna let go,
Cause tomorrow’s a better day!
I am so imperfect, I am only human
And I’m whole heartedly asking You to forgive me, oh
Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me

RAP:
You gotta take in the air and just breathe in
Believe in
In order to let a broken heart start beat, beat beatin’ again
A gain of restored grace
From a flash in a past space
What’s left is a bad taste
Repairing from despair
Which left you unaware
That others desperation of hatin’
Which had you statin’ what was done in the past,
History, so ill,
The sting from the blow, fast hit, it’s so real
Faced with the options presented
Forgive or resent it/ to live or regret it/ grip or forget it
You gotta love or hate it
See, the truth’s been stated
Let it go, cuz the past has been dated
Now pardon me of my faults in the fall of me
Dignity placed in all we see
Drawn from a source of what we can’t force
A loving trace of a crimson course
Of course, no remorse in…

Thanksgiving

With Thanks
I sit here Amazed at just how good our God is. There is absolutely nothing in this life that could ever take away His ability to overcome anything, and to Love us any more than He already has..

As a mom I wonder sometimes how hurtful my heart would be, if my daughters felt they needed to earn my love. As if I only would love them if they were obedient, or it would make me love them more if they only did good things. Or we could take it a step further and say, what if… they walked around during their day completely ignoring me as if I didn’t exist? What if they walked around claiming “Your not my mom! “? What if they flat out hated me, letting everyone know and mocked me everywhere we went? Eew…. Right?
I think about people who have treated God this way, and as sad as it makes me, I marvel. I marvel at the unconditional, unceasing, steadfast, unchanging, passionate Love of the Father. The Father who is slow to anger and quick to love. The simple truth is, no matter how much you work to earn His love, or you deny His Love, or you may even hate His Love, it changes Nothing about Him.
Gods Love just is.

My husband and I were once sitting in the care at night just thanking God for the things He’s done, we were gazing at the stars and He started to laugh out loud and say,” what a silly thought, to ask God what we could do for Him”. He looked up at the sky and continued on how God was So Huge to hold the world in His hands and we were so much smaller than an ant or a speck of dust, and here we are asking GOD what we could do for Him. I thought about it and I agreed it was a silly thought. But then I imagined my 2 year old asking to help me do my taxes or cook dinner. Of coarse she has no idea how or what to do. I could certainly give her something to do to feel involved, although it wouldn’t really be helping me much. Lol , yet the thought of her asking was sweet and her willingness was appreciated. I remembered the first picture my daughter drew with crayons, it was her masterpiece, she was soo excited to gift me with it! I glady accepted and it is now proudly displayed on my refrigidare. Although to the average eye it was just a bunch of scribbles, it was to me very special given to me with all of her heart, and I love it.
The question is what Can we give God?
Nothing really but our Gratefulness and our Faithfulness.
Just like my daughters, when I cook a meal, clean up after them, bathe them give them things etc. I have No expectation. My blessing is their thankfulness, and their obedience.
I don’t believe God NEEDS us to do anything for Him. He doesn’t need our good behavior or deeds, He doesn’t need us to bless Him or honor Him, defend Him or even Love Him. However I do believe He likes it when we do. ☺
Truth is, what we do will never change who He is. He is Always in control and His love remains, Yesterday, Today and Forever, Always the Same.

I believe Humility and Thankfulness go hand in hand. You can always tell a persons humility by their gratefulness. Proud people have a hard time giving thanks to anyone but themselves. That is why it is important see God in the right perspective. In All His Fullness & Amazingness! Come humbly before the Lord with Thanksgiving and praise! Thank Him for All He is and All Hes done!

Lyrics to the chorus of “I’m Beautiful”.
Next to Him I’m so small,
He’s So perfect I’m so flawed.
I’m so poor and He’s the Maker of all.
He’s the melody that makes my soul sing,
Adores me although I’m so unworthy ,
And I can say I’m Beautiful,
Because He Sees Me.

In all His Glory, Majesty, and Splendor, He sees us! He cares for us. He knows us. He Loves us. He delights over us. He sings over us. Because of His Love, we are Beautiful. What a great thought. Regardless of our ugly situation or circumstance, even our past mistakes and failures we have been redeemed restored, and called. After all this there must be something we could give back!
It is our privilege to offer Him our faithfulness and our obedience. I never want to forget the ugliness of my sin, because there was the cost that was paid for my freedom and joy.

This Thanksgiving I want to encourage you to remember the cost that was paid for your freedom. To remember the Love that sometimes is underappreciated and misunderstood. To remember the Love that no matter how much you acknowledge it, stays immeasurable and forever the same.
It’s an honor and a privilege our chance to give back to God by living a life of Thankfulness and Faithfulness.

How Wonderful to Wake up in the morning and begin by thanking him,
and throughout the day remembering His Goodness …
Nomatter what you face, there is room to thank Him!!!
Nomatter what you see, there is a reason to thank Him!!
Remember all of those who have been less fortunate.
W

In the midst of your thankfulness, is where you can define yourself.
Discovering your worth, in His kindness, shelter, and compassion.
There is no place like it!! Noone like Him!!
Nothing compares!!!
He is So Worthy!

I pray that you have been stirred with a thankful heart today!!!
May the God of Everlasting Love cover you as your eyes are willing to seek His plans.
Be comforted in His Peace that surpasses ALL understanding.
Colossians 2:7

Psalm 100
A Psalm of Thanksgiving.
1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!
2 Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
3 Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;[a]
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
5 For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

“GOLD”

I LOVE GOLD!
When I think of Heaven, I see Gold. In fact I love it so much I chose gold as the theme color for my wedding. It is just my most beautiful and favorite color. It reminds me of God.

DID YOU KNOW?
Interesting Facts: In order for gold to be refined, it must be subjected to an intense fire. This fire is what purifies the gold, because it separates out all of the impurities in the gold, also known as the dross. As the dross is burned away, only the pure gold remains. The refiner knows when the gold is sufficiently purified when he can look into the nugget of gold and see his face in the reflection. This refining process is the only way gold is made. There are no alternatives, and no shortcuts.

Just as the refiner knows his gold is ready when he can see his face in it, we’ll know that we’re becoming more like God when others can look at us when we’re going through trials and suffering and see His face.

“Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.” Psalm 26:2-3

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

“ You know that you’re becoming more like Him when you can face temptations, and choose to run in the opposite direction. When you’re able to resist being conformed to the pattern of this world, but instead, choose to allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind. When you lay aside the distractions that prevent you from fulfilling your calling, and when you’ve spent every ounce of energy pursuing His call. When you’re afraid of the unknown, but you still allow God to direct your plans. When fear is surrounding you and you refuse to acknowlege it. When everyone is against you and you have peace because you know God is for you, THAT is when you KNOW… that you’re coming out GOLD. “

How many of us have ever gone through something difficult, and then realize that we’ve gained a stronger dependence on God and our relationship with Him is better for it?
God never leaves us and is always with us and for us.
I think of when

  • Hananiah means “God who is gracious”
  • Misha’el means “Who is like God?”
  • Azariah  means “God has helped”

( Also known as : Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego )were thrown into the fiery furnace. They were not alone. The Lord was right there with them.

He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. Daniel 3:25

How comforting to know that the same Lord who was there with these three men is right there with us !!! What is most wonderful to me is to know that even in the most trying times of our lives, though we must walk through, we are not alone.

“But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:1-2

Think about it. What does God do when we enter a time of trial and cry out to Him for help? In one way or another, He always delivers His children.
“The righteous cry and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17

I wanted to share a bit of where my heart was when writing this song. I had a vision one morning of a big grey cloud that was seeping through the windows of homes and buildings…. I could see it entering into a woman sitting at her desk at work, as she looked bored and stressed, then into a home where I saw a mother overwhelmed by despair and depression, I saw it in a classroom where a teacher was exhausted and students were suicidal, hospitals filled with hopelessness and churches with pastors who looked weak, worn and ready to give up! What a terrible vision! YUK!

I began praying in the spirit, and then asked God why? Why was He showing me all this. It looked hopeless yet I felt and knew Hope. I suddenly felt an Urgency to share this simple word with the world! “ Don’t Give Up!“

To Whom ever is reading this, and has been carrying the heaviness of life’s trials and tribulations, whether it’s a disease, loss of loved ones, loss of job, home or marriage, dried up dreams, or you’ve been feeling hoplessness or despair, depression, oppression or defeat!
DON”T GIVE UP!!
DON’T GIVE UP!

There is HOPE!
Look to the heavens! Seek Truth! Know Victory Himself! These trials, this fire, is to enable us to develop our character, to produce in us, patience, endurance, perseverance, persistence. To purify our faith and correct our flaws.

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:7

You will go through tribulation, suffering, rejection, pain, hurts, insults, ridiculing, humiliation, mocking, jeering, hatred, sometimes even physical harm and death for Christformation in you. This is what you call ‘gold refined in fire’.

“But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. Job 23:10

I have in the past few years experienced “going through the fire” in some of my most difficult trials, dealing with attacks towards my family, my character and ministry. I have felt mistreated, misrepresented and misunderstood. I have felt brokenhearted and disappointed, hated and rejected. I learned that to stand for truth there is a cost. Some will hear and cheer, and some will hate and fear. When God begins to raise you up, there are always those waiting to push you down, out of pride, jealousy or selfish ambition. If you are doing something that challenges others, also expect to be challenged. When you are set apart, the world may not like your position because it causes conviction. I also have to face my own convictions and painful truth at times bringing me to a painful yet beautiful and perfect place of repentance. I have to admit that I am very human and have felt tired, and worn. I have felt depression try to come upon me at moments but I have overcome. I’ve learned to battle my mind with the Sword of the Spirit, refusing to be discouraged pressing on towards my prize. God has continued to be my Rock and Fortress, He has been my Deliverer and Victorious Warrior. He has remained faithful and has carried me through my weakest moments. He has never let me go, nor give up. In fact He has been continuously pulling me higher. He has walked me through the red sea and has protected me from my enemies. I have seen miracles, signs and wonders! I have experienced His Increase, Favor & Blessing. I believe I am Stronger! I am a better fighter! I am able to handle much more. I can take a blow! I can get pushed down, but I’ll get right back up! I am Not giving up because I’m not alone! I have a goal! I am guaranteed Victory, no matter how much it costs.

I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14

But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. Acts 20:24

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.Gal 6:9

The fruit of our trial will be that you and I will be of more and more value for the kingdom of God. Let us, therefore, be confident that our present troubles will end and that they will end well. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation. For when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12

LYRICS to “GOLD” By: Beckah Shae

What don’t kill you can only make you Stronger!
I’ve taken a few blows, but I’m ok though, you know I just keep going!
I’ve been straight knocked down, but I get up again, cause I ain’t no quitter!
So let me take time to be thankful, for the way I’ve been made stronger!
Going through the Fire, But coming out GOLD!
And I’m going Higher with my feet still on the floor.
Pushed back, pushed down, pushed away,
It’s ok, cause I just keep movin forward!
Talking smash all that trash that they say,
It just ain’t worth my consideration. No!
So Ima take this time to be thankful for the way I’ve been made stronger!
Cause I can take the pain, its for my good anyway,
Cause I ain’t gonna break, Love holds me together.
This fire is makin me better, refined it don’t matter whether,
I’m lookin like a loser, cause ima show you all a winner!
You can have it all cause I’m a giver,
But ain’t givin up, I ain’t no quitter!
So I think its better off you know, I’m comin out Gold!

The world needs to see you and I standing firm being tried by fire, and coming out GOLD.
DON”T GIVE UP!

Love,
BECKAH SHAE
